HOLY WEEK IN THE CATHEDRAL
Daily Mass: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday—7.30am, 10am
No morning Mass on Thursday 29th, Friday 30th or Saturday 31st. March Holy Week
Morning Prayer: 9.15am. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday
Tuesday Penance Service at 7pm in Askea Church
Wednesday Penance Service at 7.30pm Cathedral
Confessions:
Good Friday 30th. March 10am—12 noon and after the Celebration of the Passion until 5pm and after 8.30pm Service.
Holy Saturday 31st. March: 10.30am—12.30pm and 3pm—4pm.
EASTER TRIDUUM
Holy Thursday Mass of the Lord’s Supper 7.30pm
Good Friday
Solemn Commemoration of the Lord’s Passion 3.00pm
Christians around the Cross 8.30pm
Stations of the Cross with Bishop Nulty 10.00pm
GOOD FRIDAY—CHRISTIANS AROUND THE CROSS
The Liturgy will take place in three stages:
Stage 1: Liturgy in St Mary’s Church of Ireland, 7.30pm Askea 7.30pm
and Graiguecullen 7pm. You are invited to attend the Liturgy in any of
the above Churches after which all will proceed to the Cathedral via the
Courthouse.
Stage 2: Assemble at the Courthouse 8.20pm and process with Cross to
the Cathedral.
Stage 3: Prayer around the cross in the Cathedral at
8.30pm
Holy Saturday.:
10am Blessing of Food in the Cathedral
Easter Vigil: 9.30pm
(Please note no 6.15pm Mass)
Easter Sunday Mass Times:
8.30am, 11am and 12.30pm 7pm
(N.B. No Evening Mass on Holy Saturday
No. 7.30am Mass Easter Week)
